Bethany Champion Program 2025 celebrates leadership and holistic growth

Mangaluru: The Bethany Champion Program 2025 was held with great enthusiasm at St Raymond’s English Medium School, Vamanjoor, on November 4, 2025. The event brought together spirited students and animators from eight Bethany institutions for a day dedicated to leadership, reflection, and personal growth. Inauguration highlights purpose and perseverance The event began with a soulful prayer song, creating a serene atmosphere for the day’s proceedings. This was followed by a symbolic explanation of the Bethany Champion logo, which underscored the initiative’s values of faith, service, and excellence. Sr Manisha Rodrigues, Headmistress of St Raymond’s, extended a heartfelt welcome to all participants, expressing pride in hosting the inter-institutional gathering. The inaugural session featured an inspiring address by Rev. Dr. Sr Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager. Drawing from the life of St Thérèse of the Child Jesus, she spoke eloquently on perseverance, purpose, and the transformative power of small acts of love—values central to the Champion movement. Focus on holistic development and character formation Adding to the day’s reflection, Rev. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, Deputy Secretary, highlighted the importance of holistic education—one that nurtures intellect, empathy, and social responsibility. She encouraged the champions to grow into compassionate and responsible citizens. The program’s success was attributed to the meticulous planning of Sr Mariolla, Coordinator for Education, whose leadership ensured the event’s seamless execution. Her evaluation and guidance motivated students to embrace leadership with humility and purpose. Inspiration, guidance, and gratitude Ms Privi D’Souza, the resource person for the day, engaged the young champions in interactive sessions that encouraged them to stay grounded while striving for excellence. Her insights into personal discipline and teamwork reinforced the essence of the Champion spirit. The programme was ably compered by Sr Nandita, whose warmth and eloquence added grace and rhythm to the event. The Bethany Champion Program 2025 concluded on a note of gratitude and renewed inspiration, as students departed with a deeper commitment to live the values of integrity, service, and leadership.
