Tony Schiavone has been with AEW since 2019. With his exceptional work in the commentary, he has become one of the most important figures in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Recently, Schiavone had his birthday, celebrating another year in the world and in professional wrestling.Tony began his career in wrestling in 1983 as a part of Jim Crockett Promotions. In 1989, he signed a one-year deal with the WWF as a play-by-play announcer. However, in 1990, he got his breakthrough in WCW, where he eventually became the voice of the promotion with his incredible work on the mic. After leaving WCW, in pursued a broadcasting career outside of wrestling, working as a sports anchor in Atlanta.However, in 2019, he made his debut for All Elite Wrestling and rejuvenated his career in the world of pro-wrestling. He has been a part of the promotion since then, taking his popularity to the next level. Today, Tony Schiavone celebrates his 68th birthday with his friends and family members. The AEW World Champion was donning the same mask, the Phantom of the Opera, that Schiavone himself had. Following the events of the show, Schiavone gave his reaction to it.Speaking on the What Happened When podcast, the 68-year-old revealed that Page was discussing this spot for the past few weeks. To make it happen, Schiavone said that they exchanged their ties and jackets before the segment."Hangman had talked to me about this for a couple of weeks. I was like, ‘Sure, whatever you want to do. It’s fine.’ I wasn’t sure what day it was going to happen. He talked about it for a couple of weeks, and then it hit me, ‘Of course, Halloween edition.’ We worked on the exchange of the tie, the glasses, and the jacket. We both had white shirts on." he saidTony added that he liked how Hangman Page added pads to his stomach and imitated his walk to deceive the fans until the last minute. With that said, fans have been making a lot of buzz around Page cosplaying as Schiavone on the Halloween edition of Dynamite.
