Week 8’s Monday Night Football game presents a mostly one-sided betting profile. Even though Washington will get wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel back on the field, the offense won’t have quarterback Jayden Daniels. We’ll examine the three best wagers you should make for the NFL Week 8 Monday Night Football matchup between the Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs. All odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook. Commanders QB Marcus Mariota 25+ Rushing Yards (-164) The veteran quarterback has at least 30 yards in two of his three games and managed 20 yards in his worst showing while filling in for the injured Jayden Daniels this year. The Chiefs have allowed QBs to average 26.7 yards per game, checking in as the fifth-most yards, on average. Four quarterbacks in seven contests have hit his mark, and Mariota easily should be the fifth. Winning this prop doesn’t pay a lot, but free cash is free cash. Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Anytime TD (-110) On the year, Washington has permitted tight ends to score once every eight receptions, and two of them came last week vs. Jake Ferguson. The others belong to Tucker Kraft and Kyle Pitts. Kelce has scored every 15.5 grabs in 2025, and he hasn’t found the end zone in the last two weeks, so expect Patrick Mahomes to look his way in this plus-rated matchup. Chiefs WR Rashee Rice 70+ Receiving Yards (-103) While Kelce is doing his thing in the red zone, Rice will be working Washington up and down the field to get the veteran TE in scoring range. In 2025, wideouts have thoroughly abused this secondary, yielding the sixth-most yards among any team with at least seven games played. In the last five weeks, only two defenses have been weaker at limiting WR yardage. The position has averaged 179 yards since Week 2 ended, and it has come on the 10th-highest receptions figure. It’s the third-easiest matchup for yards per reception. Athlon Sports may earn revenue from sports betting operators for audience referrals to betting services.
