Best Buy is already slashing TV prices ahead of Black Friday - here are the 5 best deals to shop right now

Don’t look now, but the holiday shopping season is coming up fast. In my line of work, this means that, very soon, I’ll be shifting my attention from testing and reviewing the year’s best TVs to writing about the best TV deals and how they might fit into your shopping plans.
What you might not know about this time of year is that some shops — particularly big-box retailers — often begin slashing prices well before the official start of the holiday shopping season. Just as pumpkin beers begin invading grocery store shelves, TV prices begin to plummet before we turn the page on September.
With this in mind, I took a stroll through the digital aisles of Best Buy, bringing back the best TV deals already available on Mini-LED TVs and OLEDs. Below are my top picks.
Quick List
TCL 55″ QM5K 4K Mini-LED TV: was $899 now $499 @ Best Buy
LG 48″ B5 4K OLED TV: was $1,299 now $699 @ Best Buy
TCL 75″ QM6K 4K Mini-LED TV: was $1,299 now $749 @ Best Buy
LG 65″ C5 4K OLED TV: was $2,699 now $,1699 @ Best Buy
Samsung 65″ QN90F Mini-LED TV: was $2,499 now $1,699 @ Best Buy
TCL QM5K
The QM5K, a Best Buy exclusive, and is one of the most affordable ways to secure Mini-LED backlighting in 2025.
Why should you want Mini-LED backlighting instead of a run-of-the-mill LED TV? Well, this hardware offers better backlight control than LED TVs that don’t have Mini-LEDs. If you want an impressive picture, this is a good place to start.
Throughout the Summer, I’ve been recommending this TV to readers, friends and colleagues who don’t necessarily need top-shelf performance and an extensive array of features, but who still want a picture that truly feels like an upgrade. I don’t expect this TV’s price to drop much further between now and Black Friday, either.
LG B5
The 48-inch LG B5 is the smallest TV on this list, but if you’re in the market for a 42- to 50-inch TV that looks fantastic, the heavily discounted B5 is a great place to start.
As LG’s most recent entry-level OLED, the B5 isn’t as bright or as colorful as higher-end OLED TVs, but it nevertheless delivers the benefits we’ve come to expect from OLED display technology, like perfect black levels, wide viewing angles and surgical contrast control.
If you’re planning on doing some gaming on your next TV, the B5 has you covered, too, as it offers a full slate of four HDMI 2.1 ports that all support 4K gaming at 120Hz.
This 48-inch version of the B5 is currently exclusive to Best Buy. Based on how the B4 fared last year, this model might drop another $100 between now and Black Friday, but I don’t expect it to drop much further than that.
TCL QM7K
The QM7K gets much brighter than entry-level sets limited by standard-sized LEDs, and significantly brighter than the aforementioned QM5K. In fact, if you’re concerned that the QM5K doesn’t have enough juice, the QM7K might be for you.
Right now, the 75-inch version of the QM7K is just $749 at Best Buy. That’s absurd. This is a TV with a ton of upside, especially for gamers. The QM7K offers more gaming features than most TVs in the entry-level class, so if you’re a gamer, you stand to squeeze a bit more value out of this set.

LG C5
The LG C5 is one of the best TVs of the year, and one of the best OLED TVs you’ll come across during Black Friday sales events later this year. However, if you’d rather not hold out, I can confidently say that Best Buy’s $1,000 discount on the 65-inch model is really good for this time of the year.
The C5 is the ultimate Jack of all trades when it comes to top-tier performance. Everything from games to HDR Blu-rays look phenomenal on this TV, and it’s stuffed with just as many features as you’ll find on much pricier, flagship models.

Samsung QN90F
Samsung’s newest Neo QLED flagship might be the best 4K Mini-LED TV the brand has ever made. Right now, it’s on sale at Best Buy for a whopping $800 off its original price. I reckon that’s close to the lowest we’ll see it between now and Black Friday.
Yes, the QN90F will set you back more than most of the Mini-LED TVs on this list. However, it more than makes up for that with its fantastic backlight control, its searing highlights and its boat load of extra features.
