Bengaluru commuters have been advised to brace for traffic disruptions over the coming days, with the city police issuing alerts linked to festival gatherings and road repair work. The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) said heavy traffic is expected around Palace Grounds due to Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations, while white-topping work on Sarjapur Road will also cause diversions. According to officials, congestion is likely on Bellary Road between 28 September and 2 October, as large-scale festivities at Palace Grounds are expected to draw big crowds. Motorists have been urged to leave early, use alternative routes, and plan their travel in advance to avoid long delays. Police will deploy marshals to manage the rush, but evening hours are expected to be particularly challenging. In addition, one side of Sarjapur Road will remain closed from 30 September onwards, as white-topping work begins between Automart Junction and Agara Junction. The project is expected to last for nearly two months. During this time, traffic will only be allowed from Koramangala Jakkasandra towards Agara and the Outer Ring Road. Vehicles heading in the opposite direction—from Agara and the Outer Ring Road towards Koramangala Jakkasandra—will not be permitted. Commuters have been advised to use the Agara Flyover upper ramp, switch to the service road via 19th or 14th Main Road, and proceed towards Automart Junction. Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow signboards to ease movement during the festive and construction period.
