Bengaluru Kids Turn Entrepreneurs With Eco-Friendly Paper Bag Startup: ‘We Have A Subscription, Rs 10 A Month’

Three young children from Bengaluru are winning hearts with their eco-friendly startup Eco Wala. The trio has come up with an idea to replace plastic bags with strong, handmade paper bags, all made without glue or scissors. Their mission is simple: promote sustainable living and reduce plastic waste. For just Rs 10 a month, people can subscribe to receive paper bags delivered right to their doorstep while supporting these young innovators and their vision for a cleaner city. The Story Behind Eco Wala In Basaveshwaranagar, three children, Sharada (Founder), Nachiketa (Manager) and Samudyata (Co-Manager), have turned a school project into a real business. All reportedly under the age of 11, they started Eco Wala to spread awareness about plastic pollution and inspire people to make eco-friendly choices. How the Kids Pitch Their Idea The video opens with the three children introducing themselves to a man behind the camera. Sharada, holding up a paper bag, cheerfully explains, “This is a sample… you open like this,” showing how it works. When the man asks their name, she smiles and introduces herself and continues, “We have a subscription, Rs 10 a month. We will drop two paper bags every Sunday at your house. Just give the address.” She then adds, “If you want more or if there’s a function, you can give a call,” pulling out a small piece of paper from her bag and showing the number written on it. “We are also giving away free samples,” she says proudly. When asked where their office is, Sharada smiles and replies, “We are not sure about the address. But we will come to your house if you call on the number.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Startupro (@startupro_) Internet Cheers for the Young Entrepreneurs Since being shared on October 29, the video has received over 1.7 million views and hundreds of comments.
