A migrant worker from Sandeshkhali in West Bengal was allegedly attacked at Tatanagar railway station in Jharkhand. This comes at a time when the Calcutta HC is hearing the case of Sunali Khatun and five others, who were deported from New Delhi to Bangladesh and are lodged in a jail there.The migrant worker has been admitted to state-run SSKM hospital in Kolkata. Marufa Bibi, the injured migrant’s wife said, “My husband was stabbed for speaking in Bengali and was seriously injured. By God’s grace, he is alive. What would have happened to our family otherwise?”Tapchhel Jamadar (27), along with other youth from Boyramari locality, had reached Tatanagar and were speaking in Bengali, when they were allegedly assaulted.
