Ben Stiller's Apple TV documentary Still & Meara: Nothing is Lost has earned an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score. Stiller is the son of Hollywood royalty. His father, Jerry Stiller, starred on Seinfeld and The King of Queens. His mother, Anne Meara, appeared on Rhoda and The Other Woman. They also appeared together on shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. Their son, the famous actor and filmmaker Ben Stiller, produced and directed an Apple TV documentary about his parents called Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost, which has received a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. This means the film is certified Fresh with overwhelming praise from critics, who called Stiller & Meara a beautiful tribute that showed how Stiller's famous parents had an impact on his life. While Rotten Tomatoes hasn't listed an audience score, several viewers praised Stiller & Meara, while others found fault with the documentary for placing such a big focus on the duo's son when the film's subject matter is supposed to be his parents. Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost was released on Apple TV on October 24 after premiering at the New York Film Festival and having a limited theatrical release earlier in the month. Stiller is no stranger to Apple TV, having executive-produced the hit sci-fi series Severance since its debut in 2022. He also directed several episodes across the first two seasons but doesn't plan on having the same involvement in the upcoming Severance season 3 so he can helm a World War II film. Before Severance, Ben Stiller starred in films like Happy Gilmore, The Cable Guy, There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, The Royal Tenenbaums, Starsky & Hutch, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Madagascar, Night at the Museum and Tropic Thunder. He was born in 1965 as his parents were already making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry. All three of them found great success in Hollywood, and Stiller wanted to pay tribute to the legendary duo after they died in 2015 and 2020, respectively. Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost underwent various changes during production, including the addition of Stiller himself being used as an anchor throughout the documentary. The 93% Rotten Tomatoes score proves that Stiller has another hit project on his hands as the multi-hyphenate talent's behind-the-scenes involvement as a producer and director continues to expand and flourish.
