Longtime Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger admitted to having some concerns about the team’s Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin. Facing a vaunted Vikings defense that forced five turnovers and scored two defensive touchdowns in a blowout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, the Steelers offense will be tested on Sunday. Roethlisberger was honest that he fears Pittsburgh may be out-coached and called the team out for a serious blunder. Steelers great Ben Roethlisberger shared his concerns with Pittsburgh getting outcoached by the Vikings in Week 4. On his podcast Tuesday before the Sunday morning kickoff across the pond, Roethlisberger argued that the Steelers should have never let Brian Flores, who was a linebackers coach in 2022, leave for the defensive coordinator role in Minnesota. “If I say that I think we’re going to get out-coached, is that controversial,” Roethlisberger said. “I think Brian Flores is a very good defensive coordinator. I’m going to say he’s better than [defensive coordinator Teryl Austin]. “I’m afraid of our line that they’re not going to get it done, and Flores is going to take advantage of it because he’s a very good defensive coordinator,” Roethlisberger added. “We never should have let him go, and he’s going to find a way to attack, and our defense isn’t going to be able to do enough to keep us in the game.” Ben Roethlisberger says he thinks there’s a chance the #Vikings out coach the #Steelers this weekend:“I’m afraid of our (Pittsburgh) line, hence they’re not gonna get it done, and I think Flores will take advantage of it.”🎥: Channel Seven via YouTube pic.twitter.com/Qr8OYNEAB1— VikingzFanPage (@vikingzfanpage) September 26, 2025 The Steelers have yet to surpass 300 total yards of offense in a game this year but have been opportunistic, ranking 12th in points. Aaron Rodgers and Co. will have their work cut out for them with the Vikings surrendering the third-fewest passing yards this season. “I can play better, for sure,” Rodgers said, according The Associated Press. “You know, it’s just about sometimes you just have to take what the defense gives you and be comfortable with that. Some of our best plays is just getting the ball into our playmakers’ hands and letting them go. So I just need to be disciplined like I usually am and get the ball to the guys. “We’re figuring it out. It hasn’t been the prettiest at times. But the good thing is, our defense played the way they want to play last week, and we made just enough plays to win,” Rodgers added after a win over the New England Patriots that saw the Steelers force five turnovers. “So at this point, it’s about winning. The chemistry is there, the continuity, the belief in each other is there. It’s just going out and executing.”
