Pop star Jessie J has shared an update about her journey navigating cancer, and she admitted she is feeling frustrated and disappointed. However, she was also excited to share some good news that had come out of the bad news. The “Price Tag” singer shared her latest update via Instagram on October 27, and she received a flood of support in response. The pop singer explained that she was supposed to have a second breast surgery a couple of weeks ago. However, that has been postponed. She admitted that she is disappointed about the delay, and also frustrated that she had canceled tour dates in order to accommodate the surgery date. “All of it’s out of my control, and it’s frustrating, but I’m trying to make the best of all of these situations that are happening this year in my life,” Jessie J explained. She revealed in June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The delay with Jessie J’s surgery was due to a change in the surgeon who will do the procedure. She explained that she met with her initial surgeon a week before the scheduled date, and he felt the surgery had become more complex than he had anticipated. He referred Jessie J to a different surgeon, who felt confident that the procedure could wait a little while. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 While the singer was frustrated by the change, she used it as an opportunity to get back to performing. Soon after learning the surgery would be rescheduled, she emailed her agent and asked about rescheduling the tour dates that had previously been postponed. Her team was able to make it happen, and Jessie J said, “I’m so excited…This will be the first thing that I do [next year] and I’m just so happy that I got to make this happen so quickly.” Jessie J noted that fans who had tickets for the canceled shows should receive an email on October 28 with an opportunity to get new tickets before anybody else. She said this was her way of trying to make it up to them that the original shows were canceled. Pre-sale for the upcoming dates becomes available on October 29 to anybody on the singer’s “No Secrets” email list.
