The soap legend used social media to reveal her heartbreaking news via Instagram. She shared a tribute to her brother, Donald A. The world is a lesser place without you. No one could make me laugh like you – no one understood like you . Till we meet again . ❤️💔💔❤️🩹,” read the caption on her Instagram share. The poem drives home the message promised by its title: Don’t Hesitate. “If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still, life has some possibility left,” the poem began. The powerful and healing words continued: “Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happens better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Days of Our Lives stars flooded the post with words of condolence for their co-star, as Galen Gering (Rafe) wrote, “Sending love my friend” while Sal Stowers (Lani) shared, “Im so sorry for your loss. Sending you so much love Lauren 🙏🏽♥️.” Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) shared, “Sending you so much love girlfriend.” Shawn Christian (Daniel) also expressed, “Sending you our heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family Lauren. ❤️🙏.” Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) stated, “I’m so very sorry for your loss Lauren! Sending love !” Many fans also chimed in to express their sympathy following Koslow’s massive loss. According to the online obituary for Donald, he died suddenly in February at the age of 69. He’s survived by his wife of 45 years, Shao-Ying, his daughter Jennifer, his son Donald, and his three grandchildren, as well as Lauren and their sister Linda. The obituary revealed that a celebration of life for Donald would take place sometime this year, which may have been what prompted Koslow to pay tribute to him on social media.
