Tyra Banks is coming to “Bel-Air” for its final season.
Banks will guest star in Season 4 of the Peacock drama series, which was previously announced to be the last season. Banks will play “a former college classmate with a big personality who Viv (Cassandra Freeman) is reluctantly reunited with.”
The role marks a full circle moment for Banks, who got an early break in her acting career as recurring character Jackie Ames in the fourth season of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” While she is best known for her modeling career and creating/hosting “America’s Next Top Model,” Banks’ acting credits include films like “Life Size,” “Coyote Ugly,” and “Love & Basketball,” as well as shows like “Glee,” “Gossip Girl,” and “Insecure.”
She is repped by Echo Lake Entertainment, UTA, Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, and IMG for modeling.
As previously announced, “Bel-Air” Season 4 will premiere on Nov. 24 on Peacock. The cast of the show includes Jabari Banks as Will, Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa. Coco Jones, Akbar, Jordan L. Jones, and Joy Jones are recurring guest stars.
The series is inspired by a viral video created by Morgan Cooper that reimagined the sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” as a drama series.
Carla Banks Waddles serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the series. Cooper is also an executive producer and director on the series. He will direct the final two episodes of Season 4. Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, and Andy & Susan Borowitz all serve as executive producers. David Boorstein, Des Moran, Shukree Tilghman, Felicia Pride are co-executive producers, with Nick Copus, Keesha Sharp, and Tina Mabry directing multiple episodes alongside Cooper. The series is produced by Universal Television and Westbrook Studios, a division of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s media company Westbrook Inc.
