Bed sheet turns into an optical illusion as it hides 2 guitar picks - can you spot them in under 30 seconds?

At first glance, this photo looks like nothing more than a patterned bed sheet decorated with clusters of red and brown flowers.

But lurking in the design are two guitar picks that are almost impossible to see at first sight.

The mind-bending image was posted on Reddit’s r/FindTheSniper forum, a community where users upload ‘hidden in plain sight’ challenges to test each other’s observation skills.

What looks easy in theory quickly becomes a source of frustration for even the sharpest eyes.

The rules of this particular puzzle are simple: find both picks in under 30 seconds.

Yet thousands of commenters admitted they had to stare far longer, scanning every inch of the sheet before even spotting one.

Some were convinced it was a trick – that there weren’t really two picks in the photo at all.

Others joked they ended up squinting so hard they began to see shapes that weren’t even there.

The hardest object to track down, most agreed, was the red guitar pick.

One frustrated user wrote: ‘Still can’t find the red one,’ sparking a flurry of replies from people insisting it was there – just extremely well-camouflaged.

Another commenter admitted defeat, saying: ‘Every single time I think, “nah, that can’t be hard,” and end up looking in the comments for the answer.’

The trick, seasoned solvers explained, is to stop focusing on the flower pattern itself and instead look for shapes that stand out as smoother and more uniform.

While petals are jagged and irregular, the outline of a guitar pick is neat and symmetrical.

Those who persevered eventually shared helpful hints. One pick, they said, is located just slightly to the right and above the center of the sheet.

The second, a different color, can be found near the bottom left corner.

Even then, not everyone could see them. One exasperated reader said: ‘Thank you for the image. Even with instructions I could not for the life of me find the red one.’

So how did you do? If you managed to track down both picks in less than half a minute, you can officially count yourself among the eagle-eyed few who have conquered one of Reddit’s most deceptive optical illusions.

Think you have what it takes for one more optical illusion?

The next wild brain teaser takes you on a trek through a lush, green jungle filled with flowing streams, towering trees and thick foliage.

At first glance, it may seem like just a peaceful forest scene but look closer.

Somewhere in this vivid landscape, a wild animal is cleverly concealed.

Your mission? Find the hidden creature in under 10 seconds.

This optical illusion is more than just a pretty picture – it’s a challenge designed to test your observation skills and attention to detail.

Do you have the sharp eyes it takes to spot what others might miss?

Only the most eagle-eyed viewers will succeed. If you’re still scanning the scene, don’t worry – you’re not alone. It’s a tricky one, and giving too many hints would spoil the fun.

So take another look. The animal is there, hiding in plain sight. Can you find it before the clock runs out?

Have you managed to spot the hidden animal yet? Or is it still eluding your gaze?

If you’re hoping for a clue, look in between the long, thin tree trunks, and you might just spot a four-legged friend.

Don’t follow the creek upstream. Instead, look toward the dirt road and see where the path takes you.

This illusion is a perfect reminder that sometimes, what we think we see blinds us to what’s actually there.

So, did you beat the clock?

Check below to see if you were correct.

Optical illusions challenge the brain by forcing it to process information in unexpected ways, improving cognitive flexibility and visual perception.

They help enhance focus and attention to detail, as you have to carefully observe and interpret visual cues.

Regularly solving optical illusions also promotes brain health by keeping the mind sharp and active, potentially staving off cognitive decline as you age.
