A brand new thriller is coming to BBC One, and it promises to be "strikingly original" with a "jaw-dropping reveal" at the end of the series. Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue is a British TV series written by Anthony Horowitz, which first premiered in March on MGM+, but is now coming to BBC One and iPlayer. Starring the likes of Eric McCormack and Lydia Wilson, the six-part series looks set to be a hit with TV fans, who will be captivated by the mystery at the centre of the plot. Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue tells the story of a group of 10 people involved in a plane crash, with only nine surviving. The synopsis continues: "A light aircraft carrying 10 people crashes in the Mexican jungle – and nine of them survive. But when, one after another, they begin to die in strange and violent ways they begin to realise that, for some inexplicable reason, somebody wants them dead. "As the story unfolds in flashback, we meet the survivors as they fight against the heat, a shortage of supplies, the many dangers of the jungle – and each other. The setting becomes increasingly tense and claustrophobic until finally the identity of the killer and the truth are revealed." Eric McCormack leads the cast of Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue as former doctor Kevin Anderson. He is joined by David Ajala, playing Zack, Lydia Wilson portraying Sonja Blair, Jan Le as Amy Maclean, Adam Long as Dan Maclean, and Siobhán McSweeney as Lisa Davies. Peter Gadiot plays Carlos García Méndez, with Ólafur Darri Ólafsson portraying Travis Davies, Carolina Guerra as Cora De Léon, Deborah Ayorinde as Claire Sundiata and Hari Dhillon as David Malik. Also starring is Isaiah St. Jean, Ángel López-Silva, Sebastián Capitán Viveros, Harlys Becerra, Joana Borja, Christian Contreras, Sebastián Orozco, Daniel Topic, Misa D'Angelo, Oscar Foronda and Gloria Garcia. Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue will begin airing on BBC One on Saturday, 27 September from 9.25pm.
