BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Ross King confirms return to show after leaving country

Ross King has confirmed his return to Strictly Come Dancing after being the second celebrity to be eliminated. The US entertainment correspondent for Lorraine had been paired with Jowita Pryzstal on the BBC competition, but the pair were voted off in the second live show. Ross has now returned to LA, appearing on ITV's Lorraine via video call for his entertainment segments. Speaking to stand-in host Christine Lampard, Ross revealed he was back in LA, with Christine declaring: "I don't like it when you're back in LA, I like it when you're here. "Missing a little hug from you Christine," Ross replied. He continued: "I'm thinking about all my Strictly pals as well, so devastating to see Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink go at the weekend, I just thought Jimmy was getting so improved." Jimmy and pro partner Lauren Oakley became the latest stars eliminated from the competition after a dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, reports Glasgow Live . Continuing on Lorraine, when asked if he was "missing it a tiny bit or enjoying watching it from afar," Ross went on: "I am missing seeing Jowita every single morning for eight hours straight, it's a lot to do, a lot of time spent with one person, but as I said before, she's just absolutely brilliant. "But I will be back for the final on December 20, I will once again take to the dance floor." He quipped: "I'll try and put one foot in front of the other." Jimmy, Chris Robshaw and Thomas Skinner have also been knocked out of Strictly, whilst Stefan Dennis and Dani Dyer were compelled to withdraw along with Kristian Nairn, who pulled out before the competition kicked off. Strictly viewers had previously spotted a diary clash for Ross as a pantomime he's appearing in with Rylan Clark coincided with a live Strictly broadcast. Rylan is taking on the role of The Fairy Godfather in Cinderella, with Ross portraying Buttons in the Southend pantomime, which is scheduled to run from Saturday, December 13 through to Sunday, January 4. A statement on the panto's website explains: "Ross will not be performing in Cinderella on Saturday 20 December while fulfilling his Strictly Come Dancing commitments." Following his elimination from Strictly, an emotional Ross confessed: "I have loved every single minute of it. "I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, all the people who voted – they've been amazing. I want to thank everyone here in this room, backstage, the judges, the crew – every single person here has made me so, so welcome. "And, I want to thank a very special lady who has been with me through it all and has been absolutely everything: she's been a mentor, teacher, carer." As Jowita interjected with "barista", Ross continued: "I could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show. Thank you judges for all your remarks."
