Battlefield 6 Support Class Guide: Best Loadout (Combat Medic Training Path)

Battlefield 6 Support Class Guide: Best Loadout (Combat Medic Training Path)

The Support class’s role in Battlefield 6 is made immediately obvious by its first Training Path being the Combat Medic. This is the only Training Path you’ll be able to use as Support until at least level 20, and even then, you’ll have to complete a series of challenges to unlock the second one.
As the name implies, your focus while playing as a Combat Medic Support is to keep your teammates in the fight. With Battlefield 6’s recent release, the recommended loadout below considers only the weapons and gadgets available to you between levels one and 20.
Support Class Combat Medic Training Path Explained
General Tips
Here are the buffs you will receive, in order, for earning score while using the Combat Medic Training Path:
Urgent Aid – Drag downed soldiers 20% faster and revive them 2.5 seconds quicker.
Revive Recovery – Reviving downed teammates triggers passive health regeneration. Incoming damage temporarily halts the effect for one second.
Defense-Focused – Defensive gadgets have a +25% resupply rate.
GPDIS intercepts two more projectiles.
MP-APS tracking duration is extended by five seconds.
Deployable Cover takes 10% less damage.
Restock Allies (Active Ability) – Resupply and heal nearby friendly forces for 10 seconds. Reviving teammates takes only 1.7 seconds.
Use active abilities by pressing R1+L1 (PS5), RB+LB (Xbox), or Q/mouse wheel (PC).
Generally speaking, Support is going to do just that: support squad members and teammates. You’ll want to stick close to your allies at all times, otherwise your utility is drastically reduced. Combat Medics can be instrumental in winning matches; reviving a teammate prevents them from using a respawn ticket to re-enter the fray, thus keeping your team from defeat longer.
The Combat Medic Training Path is especially well-suited to reviving. You may not get the most kills on your team, but you can still easily end up at the top of the scoreboard if you rack up dozens of revives in one game. When big firefights break out, you’ll want to stay in cover – Support players are much more valuable when alive and out of sight.
Best Support Class Loadout For Low-Level Combat Medic Training Path
The Healer
The following loadout is best for lower levels when playing as the Support class with the Combat Medic Training Path:
Primary – M/60
Secondary – P18
Gadget 1 – Defibrillator
Gadget 2 – GPDIS
Throwable – Smoke Grenade
Melee – Sledgehammer
Broadly speaking, the M/60 is the way to go for the Combat Medic. It has higher damage and better range than the first two LMGs (the L110 and DRS-IAR), so it will be more effective from your supporting position behind the frontline. It does, however, have a low rate of fire, so if you end up on one of the smaller Battlefield 6 maps, it may behoove you to switch things up, in which case I recommend the DRS-IAR, which has a good rate of fire, ADS time, and reload speed.
It should almost go without saying that you need to bring the Defibrillator. Your number-one focus as a Combat Medic Support should be reviving teammates, and you can do so incredibly efficiently with the Defib. Don’t underestimate BF6’s drag mechanic, though. Being able to drag teammates faster while reviving them quicker as a Combat Medic is a huge buff, letting you pull teammates out of danger while getting them back into the fight.
Gadget 2 can be a tough choice, but in keeping with the previous sentiment, I like to run the GPDIS, the Grenade Intercept System. Reviving a teammate is no good if they immediately get taken back out by a frag grenade. Enemies may be able to see where you’re dragging teammates to, so setting up the GPDIS around a corner can keep your area safe.
Sometimes, you won’t be able to safely drag teammates away, but timely revives are still needed to capture or defend an objective. This is where Smoke Grenades come in. If a teammate has died out in the open with no conceivable way to get them into cover for the revive, pop a smoke on top of their body. It may not guarantee your survival, but it will simultaneously obscure you and give teammates a chance to move up.
