Battlefield 6 Strikepoint is a new one-life mode coming in Season 1

If you're one of the players eagerly awaiting Battlefield 6 Season 1, there's a new Battlefield 6 game mode called Strikepoint. This is a new mode for players looking for more tactical and tense squad-based gameplay. When Season 1 releases, Strikepoint is a new mode players can queue for. The mode is an intense 4v4 mode, pitting two squads against each other in back-to-back rounds. There will be small locations to scrap over, simulating close-quarters urban warfare where taking a strategic point is key to winning the round. To add to the immersion, the mode is a one-life-only mode. If you die, then you're out of the round. Players can be downed but not out, in which they can be finished if you defeat the downed player. Supports can also defib those players, giving them a chance to come back and clutch out the round. The round is over when either team captures the point or a team is fully eliminated. Players can go against the same squad until one team wins 6 rounds. Unlike other game modes, the intensity of the one life and shorter map makes for tenser gameplay. Expect aggressive and clever use of gadgets and grenades, and other class abilities to make the round winnable. If you want something a bit more tense and squad-like, and more traditional Counter-Strike or CoD Search and Destroy, then this might be a mode to get excited about. As it stands, the mode has only been demo'd on the new Blackwell Fields map coming with Season 1. It is a dense parking area with many vehicles a big delivery lorry in the middle and some building cover. The map offers both decent long-range angles, closer range pushing, and vying for control of the central lorry capture zone. It looks like everyone gets a bit of something on that map. If you're into that sort of thing, this looks like a positive for the patch. As it stands, Battlefield Studios is having a nightmare with fans over Season 1. There's a lot of movement, map size issues, and constant controversy over the Portal mode bots, so Season 1 is entering on a shaky start. But if you like these more hardcore-like modes, this is a good spin for you.
