FC Barcelona continue their UEFA Champions League campaign when they host Greek side Olympiacos FC on Tuesday. Barcelona fell 2-1 to defending champions Paris Saint-Germain on Matchday 2 of the Champions League, after squeezing out a narrow win over Newcastle United in their tournament opener. The Blaugrana currently sit in 16th place in the UCL league phase standings, just one point out of the automatic qualification spots. Domestically, Hansi Flick's squad have bounced back with a dramatic 2-1 win over Girona following a shock 4-1 loss to Sevilla before the October international break. The win allowed the Catalans to keep pace with Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table, now two points behind their eternal rivals, who they face this weekend in the first El Clásico of the season. Olympiacos, meanwhile, have yet to register a victory in this year's Champions League, losing 2-0 to Arsenal and drawing 0-0 with Pafos FC in their first two fixtures of the campaign. This year marks their return to the continental showcase after missing out on qualification in the last three seasons. They're currently second in the Greek Super League standings, one point off leaders PAOK. Barcelona and Olympiacos have only faced each other twice before, with the Spanish giants winning 3-1 before settling for a scoreless draw in the group stage of the 2017-18 campaign.
