Bantama MP Donates Students’ Desks, Teachers’ Tables to 27 Schools

The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Francis Asenso Boakye, has donated 1,000 student desks and 100 teachers’ tables & chairs to schools within his constituency. These donations, handed over to 27 schools on Monday, were announced in a Facebook post. According to him, this brings to 4,000 desks, among other educational materials he has made available to facilitate education in his jurisdiction. He highlighted his contributions, which include supplying computers and learning materials, building libraries and ICT centres, constructing new schools, refurbishing old ones, providing scholarships, and introducing inter-school quiz competitions and mock exams. All these, he said, are geared towards his passion for improving teaching and learning. “Education remains my top priority, and I’ll continue working to give our children the best foundation for success.” Story by Hajara Fuseini
