Bank Holiday In November 2025: Banks across India will observe several public and regional holidays in November 2025 under the RBI holiday calendar. These holidays are not uniform nationwide and vary from state to state. That means on some dates, banks in certain states will remain closed, while in others, they will function normally. During bank holidays, customers can continue to access services through net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs. However, cheque clearing and other over-the-counter services under the Negotiable Instruments Act will not be available. Full Bank Holiday List In November 2025 November 01 (Saturday): Kannada Rajyothsava/Igas-Bagwal Banks in the following states will be closed: Uttarakhand and Karnataka. Other than the mentioned states, banks will continue their operations as normal. November 1 marks Kannada Rajyotsava, the formation day of Karnataka, celebrating the state’s rich culture, language, and heritage. On the same day, Igas-Bagwal, also known as the “Festival of Lights of the Gods,” is celebrated in parts of Uttarakhand. November 05 (Wednesday): Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, banks in the following states will be closed: Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Nagaland, Mizoram. November 06 (Thursday): Nongkrem Dance Banks will only be closed in Meghalaya. The Nongkrem Dance Festival is a traditional harvest celebration of the Khasi tribe in Meghalaya. Held annually near Shillong, it’s a five-day event. November 07 (Friday): Wangala Festival Banks will only be closed in Meghalaya. The Wangala Festival, also known as the 100 Drums Festival, is one of the most important harvest celebrations of the Garo tribe in Meghalaya. November 08 (Saturday): Kanakadasa Jayanthi Banks in Karnataka will be closed on this day. Kanakadasa Jayanthi marks the birth anniversary of Sri Kanakadasa, a 16th-century poet, philosopher, and saint from Karnataka.
