The suspects seen in the video appear to be two males in black hoodies, exiting a dark-colored car and then opening fire down the block. One suspect wore yellow gloves, possibly to conceal distinguishing marks.
Residents, like Michael, expressed frustration over the violence disrupting their community.
“It makes things worse for everybody else,” he said, highlighting the impact on local convenience. “Like everybody needs to go to the store here, this is our means of getting food, just coming out here to eat and whatever else we need to do. (And bullets flying), it messes up the community,” he added.
Baltimore City Councilman , representing the district, assured that the investigation is progressing.
“I know for sure, the way that our investigation is going, we’re going to close this,” Torrence said.
He emphasized efforts to build trust within the community, moving away from a “stop snitching” culture.
“Our community is fighting back and working with us and trusting us,” he said, noting initiatives to provide safe housing and support for crime victims.
A reward of up to $8,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
