Twin brothers Kirk and Kristian Beneby, born and raised in The Bahamas, are making waves in the world of film and television production. Both recently graduated with bachelor’s degrees from the New York Film Academy and have already built an impressive résumé, working on four feature films with another romantic comedy set to begin production soon.
The brothers have had the privilege of working alongside major Hollywood names, including:
• Dylan Walsh – best known for his role in the hit series Nip/Tuck and the film The Stepfather.
• Dennis Haysbert – widely recognized from 24, Major League, and as the voice of Allstate Insurance.
• Marilu Henner – beloved for her role on the classic TV show Taxi.
• Telma Hopkins – known from the sitcom Family Matters and her music career with Tony Orlando and Dawn.
• Joe Pantoliano – Emmy Award-winning actor seen in The Sopranos and The Matrix.
• Margaret Colin – remembered for her role in Independence Day and the series Gossip Girl.
Their feature film credits include Up in the Hills, Tox, Higher Love, and More.
On set, both Kirk and Kristian serve as Chief Lighting Technicians (Gaffers) and Key Grips—vital behind-the-scenes positions that shape the way actors look on screen, ensuring the lighting and visuals capture the story in the most cinematic way possible.
Beyond feature films, the twins are deeply involved in the world of music videos, commercials, and live productions, where they have worked with some of today’s most recognized names in music and pop culture. This includes A$AP Rocky, Coco Jones, Amaarae, Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis and the full AMP crew, Cash Cobain, BJ the Chicago Kid, and Quavo of the Migos, among many others.
Based in New York City, their work allows them to see the inside world of film, television, and entertainment, giving them unique access to experiences many only see on screen.
As they continue to build their careers in the U.S., Kirk and Kristian have a larger vision in mind: bringing their expertise back home. Their dream is to help establish The Bahamas as a film hub, attracting international productions to the islands. This, they believe, would not only showcase the beauty of The Bahamas to the world but also create new job opportunities and strengthen the country’s presence in the global entertainment industry.“The Bahamas is already a big picture,” the twins say. “Our goal is to take what we’ve learned here in the U.S. and use it to build something even bigger at home.”
