Bad Bunny 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show Headliner Reactions

This Latino Artist Was Just Named The Headliner For The Super Bowl Halftime Show, And A Lot Of Americans Are Celebrating Its Significance
“this is bigger than a performance. it’s a statement.”
If you haven’t heard, it was announced yesterday that 3-time Grammy Award-winning artist Bad Bunny will be headlining the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in February.
And let’s just say people are losing their minds.
This Super Bowl announcement just came about a week after Bad Bunny broke the record of most-watched Amazon Music livestream from a single artist for his final show of his historic residency at San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was titled Una Más.
Which also made people… lose their minds:
In a recent statement, Bad Bunny expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming show: “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
The last sentence translates to: “Go tell your grandma we’re going to the SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW.”
Well, it seems people over on Twitter (now known as X) didn’t just tell their Abuelas but everyone on the internet about the Bad Bunny news:
1. One person said, “WE ARE SO READY”
2. And another said, “My non Spanish speaking ass watching bad bunny next February”
Twitter: @heyjaeee / ABC
3. “Mom: who sold our house? me at the bad bunny superbowl performance,” said one user.
4. While another said: “How Bad Bunny pulling up to San Francisco Bay Arena”
5. Also, this person added, “me during Bad Bunny halftime show not knowing a single song or lyric”
Twitter: @PardonMyMeme / BBC
6. And this person made a very good request: “We better see Bad Bunny twerk at the Super Bowl Halftime”
Twitter: @AuraMayari
7. Along with the announcement, MAGA individuals have also been very vocal about how they feel about Bad Bunny being the headliner — so people have also commented about how important this show is in today’s world: “bad bunny speaking on colonialism + the displacement of puerto ricans rn. with everything going on w ice, this is bigger than a performance. it’s a statement.”
8. “At a time in our country where Trump has ICE putting so many innocent Latinos in concentration camps and ripping apart families… Having Bad Bunny someone who has opposed Trump openly doing the Super Bowl halftime show is such a powerful amazing statement,” another person said.
