Baaghi 4 Producers Nadiadwala Grandson Take Legal Route Against Extortion Threats, Issue Statement

Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 has been marred with controversies ever since it hit the theatres. Even before the release, the movie underwent 23 cuts by the CBFC despite having an A certificate, angering fans over muted dialogues and trimmed action scenes. Soon after its theatrical debut, it was leaked online. Now, the makers of Baaghi 4, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, have revealed receiving extortion threats from individuals trying to malign their films, directors, and lead actors. In response to these, the makers of the film have taken a legal route and issued an official statement with respect to the action taken. Baaghi 4 makers issue statement against extortion threats The makers of Baaghi 4 took to their official Instagram handle on Monday and issued an official statement revealing that they had received credible evidence, including call recordings, indicating that certain individuals had allegedly been demanding payment in exchange for not posting negative content online. The company stated that these threats were not rooted in legitimate criticism but were clearly coercive in nature. The statement reads, “We recently came across evidence, including call recordings — indicating that a few individuals were demanding money and threatening to malign the reputation of our films, directors, and lead actors if their demands were not met. We believe such behaviour warrants investigation by the appropriate authorities.” ALSO READ: Tiger Shroff Sheds Baaghi 4 Image, Turns Into A Flying Jatt To Spread Smiles For Cancer Patients: Meeting Real Superheroes – WATCH NGE taking legal routeAs a result, NGE has reported the matter to law enforcement and requested a formal investigation and action through the proper legal channels. We value honest work and wholeheartedly welcome their contributions to the healthy progress of the film industry.” NGE on support to freedom of speech and constructive feedback NGE also stressed its support for free speech and constructive feedback. “We are firm supporters of the freedom of speech and expression as enshrined in the Constitution of India. We have never objected — and will never object — to fair criticism or reviews of our films. On the contrary, we believe that constructive criticism is essential for helping filmmakers grow and for fostering the healthy development of the industry,” the statement concluded. NGE’s upcoming projects Despite recent legal issues, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is pushing forward with a strong 2025 lineup. Baaghi 4 is currently performing well at the box office, followed by earlier releases like Housefull 5 and Sikandar.
