BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Two more
Azerbaijani taekwondo athletes won gold medals at the 3rd CIS
Games, Trend
In the finals of the competition, held at the Kur Olympic
Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, Azerbaijani taekwondo
athletes Humay Dadashova (46 kg) and Maryam Mammadova (53 kg)
climbed to the top step of the podium. They defeated Uzbekistan’s
Valeria Khegay and Russia’s Aziza Huseynova with a score of 2:1,
respectively.
Umid Ragimzade (54 kg) and Eljan Aliyev (74 kg), who lost in the
final, took second place. Tamerlan Yagubov (54 kg), Allahverdi
Mammadov and Zeynal Aliyev (both 87 kg), Salima Guliyeva (46 kg),
Nilufar Borji (53 kg), and Nargiz Kazimova (62 kg), who stopped
fighting in the semifinals.
Thus, on the first day of the competition, Azerbaijani taekwondo
athletes won 3 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Earlier, Ziya
Hasanli (63 kg) won a gold medal.

its first gold medal in the sambo final at the 3rd Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS) Games, which are being held in this

Azerbaijani athlete Abdullatif Musayev (53 kilograms) face off
