Azerbaijan’s Victory Day set to shine with military band marches

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4.​ Azerbaijan will mark the 5th anniversary of Victory Day with military parades in major cities, featuring orchestral accompaniment and ceremonial marches, the country's Ministry of Defense told Trend. Following a plan approved by Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, the events are planned to take place across streets, avenues, and public squares in Baku, Sumgayit, Nakhchivan, Khankendi, Shusha, and Lachin cities. The Ministry noted that military personnel will march along designated routes on November 6, from morning to midday. In Baku, the parades will pass through landmarks such as Martyrs’ Lane, the Flame Towers complex, Icherisheher metro, Gala Gate, the State Puppet Theater, Azneft Circle, and the Bahram Gur Additional routes will cover key parks, avenues, and cultural sites, including the Olympic Star Sports and Entertainment Center, Zabitler Park, Baku State Circus, Heydar Aliyev Palace, and the Nizami Ganjavi monument along Neftchilar Avenue. In Sumgayit, participants will march along the Seaside Boulevard, while in Nakhchivan, the route will extend from Dilgam Pishevari and Aziz Aliyev streets to Victory Park. Central streets and avenues in Khankendi, Shusha, and Lachin will also host military processions, highlighting the nationwide scope of the Victory Day commemorations.
