In July 2025 full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 693,700, which was 9.0% higher than a year earlier.
Average net earnings reached HUF 479,500, being 9.4% higher than in July 2024. The growth of the net earnings was considerably affected by the higher amount of family tax benefit introduced as of 1 July 2025.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 656.600, being 8.5% higher than in the same period of the previous year. The regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 649,900 in the business sector, HUF 669,900 in the budgetary sector and HUF 684,400 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 8.1%, 10.1% and 7.9%, respectively over a year.
Real earnings were up by 4.9%, along with a 4.3% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 570,000, being 9.6% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings reached HUF 399,000, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.7%.
In January-July 2025 full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 693,000, and average net earnings were HUF 476,600.
Average gross earnings and average net earnings both increased by 9.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
