One of the most lively fundraising events on the Perth calendar took place over the weekend with some of Australia’s biggest stars helping to raise money for sick and vulnerable children. The Channel 7 Perth Telethon weekend attracted the likes of Joanna Griggs, Larry Emdur, Kylie Gillies, Manu Feildel and former Yellow Wiggle Emma Memma, who all got on the phones for a good cause. Looking completely unrecognisable in a black wig and matching moustache, Dr Chris Brown transformed into legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury as he took the stage to lip-synch to the band’s massive hit, Another One Bites The Dust. Dressed in Mercury’s signature white singlet and blue jeans, Brown busted out his best moves on stage much to the delight of fans inside the RAC Arena. Dr Chris Brown performed as Freddie Mercury at the Perth Telethon over the weekend. The TV personality was unrecognisable as the Queen frontman, lip-synching to Another One Bites The Dust. Not even musical performances from former Australian Idol star Shannon Noll – yep, he sang his power ballad What About Me – and former Boyzone member Ronan Keating who closed out the event with his hit Lovin’ Each Day, could outshine Brown. Nor did Larry Emdur, who rocked a voluminous black wig to get into character as Neil Diamond to perform Sweet Caroline. The Bondi vet with his signature blonde hair. And fans online agreed that Brown’s performance was a highlight of the telethon. “I love your blonde hair but brunette hair and moustache suits you haha,” one commented on the telethon’s official Instagram account. “Lord. is there anything this man can’t do?” another praised, as one wrote, “A man of many talents.” “Love it @drchrisbrown, all for a great cause,” concluded yet another. Larry Emdur also performed as Neil Diamond. Manu Feildel arm-wrestled with Freddie Mercury, aka Dr Chris Brown. Brown himself later commented on his lip-synching video, playfully writing, “Is there such a thing as ‘overcomitting’?” Indeed, Brown – who later arm-wrestled My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Feildel on live TV while still dressed as Freddie Mercury – happily did it all for charity, helping to raise a More Coverage Jaw-dropping pics of ripped Aussie star, 43 Christine Estera Number one movie on Netflix is a must-watch record-breaking $90 million for the cause. “Just Brilliant!!
