ATC issues non-bailable arrest warrants for IK’s sisters

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan in a case registered against them and others in connection with the PTI’s October 4, 2024, protest. ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, while hearing the case, issued arrest warrants for Khan’s sisters for their continuous absence from the hearing of the case. The court directed the police to arrest the accused and produce them before the court in a case registered at the Kohsar police station under the provisions related to terrorism. Both sisters were arrested after the PTI’s October 4 protest from D-Chowk and remained in jail for over 20 days. The ATC court granted them bail on October 25, 2024, and they were released from jail. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till November 22. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025
