Aston Villa and adidas have unveiled a new ‘limited edition’ clothing collection inspired by ‘80s terrace culture. Earlier this month, the Aston Villa x adidas Terrace Icons Collection launched, comprising five items influenced by both fashion and football fandom. The line-up includes a white pinstripe jersey, a navy tracksuit, a claret half-zip top, and a classic claret drill top. Each item also proudly displays an embroidered Aston Villa club crest alongside the iconic adidas trefoil. Announcing the Terrace Icons collection, the club said: “The highly-anticipated Aston Villa Terrace Icons range has now hit stores. Inspired by 1980s terrace culture and first seen in the launch video for our all-new third strip, the range is influenced by both fashion and football fandom, giving supporters the chance to represent Villa with everyday style.” Among the standout items available is the Aston Villa adidas Icon Drill Top (£70). This item is said to be ‘a vintage style with a modern twist’, featuring a large blue trefoil on the back, with smaller trefoil on the front above the club crest. Also in the collection is the Aston Villa adidas Icon Jersey (£70), a loose-fit top designed with claret pinstripes. There’s the Aston Villa adidas Icon Half Zip Sweater (£80), said to be ideal for life away from the football pitch with comfortable soft French terry fabric. The Aston Villa adidas Icon Track Pants (£85) form half of the collection’s tracksuit, crafted with a retro look from soft twill fabric for a slim fit. At the time of writing, only size XS remains in stock for the Aston Villa adidas Icon Track Top (£100). However, there has been a restock of the popular Aston Villa adidas Samba Trainers (£110). These shoes proved to be a top seller when they launched in July, but are now back in stock in sizes five to 12. Fans can find all of these featured items at Fanatics and the Aston Villa Official Store . Ahead of the Terrace Icons launch, Villa fans took to social media and branded the collection ‘beautiful’. Writing on X, one said: “Completely incredible. Must buy.” Another said: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph that is a beautiful collection.” Not everyone is sold, as this fan said: “How do we always manage to gross things up?” While this impressed Villan said: “Some seriously nice stuff in the collection.”
