Asia Cup 2025: India Refuses To Handshake After Win. Pakistan Ex-cricketers Meltdown, ‘Hath Nahi Milaya Toh Hero Ban Jaoge Kya?’

After yet another ignominious defeat at the hands of India in the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistani fans and media went on a meltdown on Sunday, September 14. Social media was rife with dispirited reactions from Pakistanis and Indian fans mocking them for their emotional outburst. Suryakumar Yadav’s men made an easy feast of the Group A fixture against Salman Ali Agha & co. in Dubai, beating them by seven wickets in a dominant display.
Amid the post-game Pakistani furore over Suryakumar and the Indian team refusing to shake hands with their players, a series of funny clips from the other side of the border emerged. In one such clip, a group of fans running a YouTube channel were seen sharing tissues to wipe their tears over Pakistan’s horrible performance and loss.

Pakistan On Meltdown After Another Defeat Versus India
In the short video, this group of disconsolate Pakistani fans hesitantly praised India’s magnificent performance where they restricted their arch-rivals to 127/9 before chasing down the modest 128-run target inside 16 overs. Later on, one of them took out tissues and handed them over to the entire group to wipe their tears off.
Another video from Pakistan evoked hysteria on the Indian internet, where former cricketer Mohammad Yousuf gave the most bizarre suggestion to Salman and his team before the game. Given their struggles, Pakistan couldn’t even contemplate leaving out their two key players – Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman. However, Yusuf said on a local news channel that they should be rested to play “mind games” with Suryakumar’s men.

As it turned out, neither managed to stamp their authority in a game where Pakistan desperately needed them. While the aggressive Fakhar got out for 17 off 15 deliveries, left-arm pacer Shaheen (0/23) was belted around the park inside the powerplay by India’s young opener Abhishek Sharma.
Pakistani Fans, Media Appalled Over Indian No-Handshake
Most of the meltdown and emotional angst from the other side of the border, however, were reserved for India’s decision not to shake hands with their opposition after the game. As Suryakumar smashed left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem for a huge six to finish off the proceedings, he hugged the non-striker Shivam Dube and went straight to the Indian dugout, completely ignoring the Pakistani side.

After hitting winning shot Suryakumar Yadav and Dube didn’t make any handshake.

Former Pakistan cricketers and media were not pleased with India’s decision to avoid handshakes and called it a disrespectful act. “Hath Nahi Milaya Toh Hero Ban Jaoge Kya?” Basit Ali could be heard saying.

Later on, Suryakumar explained his team wanted to reiterate solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Indian armed forces. The Men in Blue dedicated their victory to the Indian army and hoped to continue bringing a smile to the faces of all countrymen.
