Actor Arshad Warsi, who recently won hearts again with Jolly LLB 3, is currently juggling multiple projects. Known for iconic roles like Circuit in Munna Bhai MBBS, Jolly in Jolly LLB and Adi in Dhamaal, the actor recently appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast, where he spoke candidly about his journey in Bollywood and how fame affected him. He also shared about Jeetendra’s invaluable advice for him during hard times and Shah Rukh Khan’s success mantra. Jeetendra’s Advice That Changed His Mindset During the conversation, Arshad revealed that he has never auditioned for any of his roles, not even for fan-favourite characters like Circuit or his Golmaal films. “Never in my life. Wherever I did give an audition, I was thrown out,” he said with a laugh. Reflecting on how fame once affected him, Arshad shared a powerful piece of advice he received from veteran actor Jeetendra. “A little bit of arrogance had crept. I just felt like the world is your oyster. During this time, I met Jeetu ji. He said, ‘Bohot accha actor hai tu. All this will fade away one day. At that time, don’t give up.’ I thought why is he saying like this to me and then two films of mine were a massive flop. Then all the films actually faded away,” he recalled. When Raj Shamani asked what he had done differently, Arshad spoke about Shah Rukh Khan’s remarkable ability to reinvent himself. He said, “You see, today, there’s a whole new Shah Rukh Khan that has come out. Once you had a lover boy and today you have an action hero. Now this requires intelligence. At the end of the day, no matter what you do, you are a product that you are selling. And how well you sell yourself is what is required.” He also praised SRK’s humility, sharing a recent encounter, “He is a wonderful person, he is polite. I met him just now and did a little work for King. I told him, ‘You’ve spoiled me. Now I’m going to compare every human being to you.’” What’s Next For Arshad Warsi? On the cinematic front, Arshad Warsi is gearing up for his next big release, King. The action project, directed by Siddharth Anand, promises a gripping narrative set in the criminal underworld. While details about the plot are kept under wraps, the film is headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. He will play the role of a seasoned assassin navigating the dangerous underworld. Making the action-packed thriller even more special is the debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, who will be seen as his trainee. The film also brings talented actors, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, Rani Mukerji and Anil Kapoor. The film, produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures, is already one of the most anticipated Bollywood films in recent years for its locations, star-studded cast and promise of edge-of-the-seat action.
