Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed his side will be without two key players for their EFL Fourth Round clash against Brighton. Mikel Arteta has confirmed that injury will rule out William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli out of the upcoming Carabao Cup Fourth Round clash against Brighton. The players require further tests to determine the full extent of their injuries. Saliba sustained his injury during the half-time break of Arsenal’s recent 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, while Martinelli pulled up late in the game, limping down the tunnel after full-time. Speaking on the defensive linchpin, Arteta confirmed his immediate absence: “He is out [for Brighton]. No [we don’t know how long he is out for]. We are assessing him but he won’t be involved in this match. ”Martinelli is also confirmed unavailable for the cup tie. Arteta stated: “It looks as though he’s going to be out. We have to do some more tests to see the extent of the injury, but this game will be too early for him.” However, the Gunners received some positive news regarding other key players who picked up knocks against Palace. Arteta confirmed that Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, and Bukayo Saka are all available and ready to face Brighton.
