Arsenal are showing interest in a surprise move to sign Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, according to reports in Italy.
The Gunners have ‘knocked on the door’ of the 20-year-old Turkey international and are among several Premier League clubs eyeing a potential swoop.
Mikel Arteta’s side are claimed to be ready to approach Yildiz’s representatives over a future move but face a difficult round of negotiations with Juventus, as the ‘superstar’ forward is under contract until June 2029.
Juventus are reportedly aiming to secure Yildiz’s future with an even lengthier extension to fend off interest, with the Bianconeri considering a deal running until 2030 for the Turkish star.
The Serie A club have so far rejected all approaches for Yildiz and have no intention of parting ways with the 20-year-old, who has started the season in superb form, registering six goal contributions in his first five appearances.
Arsenal Eyeing Move for Kenan Yildiz
According to Bianconera News, Yildiz is focused on his future at Juventus and seems intent on staying with the club long-term.
However, senior club figures are aware that growing interest from Premier League sides could tempt the 20-year-old, and are prepared to address his situation with a fresh contract extension.
Yildiz, who joined Juventus’ youth setup from Bayern Munich in July 2022, broke into the first-team squad during the 2023/24 season, making his Serie A debut in a 3-0 away win over Udinese in August 2023.
He has made 89 appearances to date, scoring 18 goals and providing 15 assists, and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season in 2024/25.
The 20-year-old registered 12 goal contributions in 35 league appearances last term, helping Juventus finish fourth in the league and qualify for the Champions League.
Yildiz has arguably been Juventus’ best player this season, scoring twice and providing four assists in his first five appearances, helping the Bianconeri stay unbeaten in Serie A after four games.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Yildiz has scored two goals in 23 international appearances for Turkey to date.
Arsenal’s summer business saw them spend £255m on new arrivals, with the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi joining.
Arteta’s side sit second in the Premier League after five games, five points behind leaders Liverpool, and next face Port Vale in the EFL Cup third round on Wednesday.
