Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that three key players sustained injuries during the team's win against Crystal Palace. The Gunners continued their impressive performance and winning streak in all competitions this season. Arteta’s team secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium, extending their lead in the league table. The Gunners secured another clean sheet as a goal from Eberechi Eze, against his former club, proved to be the difference. Arteta speaks on injury The victory was marred by injuries to Declan Rice, William Saliba, and Riccardo Calafiori, all of whom were forced to leave the pitch. Arteta confirmed after the match that they were all substituted due to pain from knocks they received during the game. “William Saliba felt some pain. Declan [Rice] was the same,” Arteta stated in his post-match comments. “The first one was Willy [Saliba]; he was out from a knock that he took. And Ricci [Calafiori] too.” “I don’t know [the exact nature of the injury], not because I don’t want to tell you! But because I don’t really know,” he explained. “With Declan, I don’t really know because it was a knock, whether it was a calf or an Achilles,” he concluded. Arteta also provided updates on other players, noting that Gabriel Martinelli "felt something" but it was uncertain if it was a muscular problem. He also mentioned that Bukayo Saka had been unwell leading up to the match, saying, "He has been ill. He has not trained and we did not know if he was going to be fit.”
