Several businesses and nonprofits have recently opened or will soon open medical-related facilities in south-central Pennsylvania. The list below includes behavioral services, addiction recovery services, a physical therapy clinic, a skilled nursing center for veterans, a training center for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, and medical practices. Cumberland County Lower Allen Township Arkview Behavioral Health The company launched primary mental health PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) services at its facility at 4950 Wilson Lane. The building was previously home to Renova, LifeCare, and Health South. Dauphin County UPMC Center for Addiction Recovery mobile unit The UPMC Center for Addiction Recovery provides confidential care for those suffering from opioid and alcohol addiction. Officials said the mobile unit will enhance care for those who are unable to receive services at a physical location. In particular, the mobile unit will partner closely with UPMC’s Street Medicine team to expand care at shelters, other community partner locations, and encampments of those experiencing homelessness. Franklin County Greene Township LHM Physical Therapy Institute The outpatient physical therapy clinic opened at 3628 Scotland Main St. Lancaster County Lancaster WellSpan Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstruction at CityGate The practice opened at the Outpatient Center at CityGate at 35 Erick Road. Lebanon County South Lebanon Township VA Lebanon Healthcare System Community Living Center Construction has begun on a seven-year, multi-phase Community Living Center project at the main campus of the VA Lebanon Healthcare System. “In the civilian sector, CLCs (Community Living Centers) are called skilled nursing facilities or nursing homes,” the VA said in a news release. The five-phase 56-unit project includes five buildings — four small houses, each with 14 beds, and a community center. All four houses will connect to the community center. If approval is received for the final phase in 2027, completion of all phases will be in 2030, according to hospital officials. The new construction will replace the 35 community living center beds, which are currently located inside the medical center. York County Carroll Township Fit Abilities The training studio 13 Stripes Fitness at 868 N U.S. 15 has launched Fit Abilities, a new program designed to make health and fitness more accessible for youth and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, including autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. Springettsbury Township Arkview Behavioral Health The company launched primary mental health PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) services at its facility at 31 Mills St., Suite 201.
