Are Women’s CWC 2025 India Vs SA Final Tickets Really Selling for ₹1.7 Lakh?

Team India played their heart out against Australia, making history by chasing down the highest target in women’s cricket. Their triumph came against none other than Australia, the mighty team that had only the habit of winning. Thursday night, October 30, however, turned out to be different for the Women in Yellow. They were outperformed by a stunning India, led by a sensational Jemimah Rodrigues. With a historic win behind them and a packed DY Patil crowd in Navi Mumbai that had the privilege to watch India crush dominant Australia in the ICC Women’s CWC 2025 semi-final, it shouldn’t come as a shock that fans are now eager to catch a glimpse of the finals, where India will meet South Africa. There is a slight hiccup: no tickets are available, at least at a price that cricket fans can afford. India Vs Australia Chasing a towering target of 339 posted by the Aussies, India had a shaky start to the run chase with the early departures of Smriti Mandhana (24) and Shafali Verma (10), leaving the Women in Blue in a precarious situation. The scorecard was 59 for 2. Out came Jemimah Rodrigues at no 3, and the 25-year-old all-rounder only left after finishing the business. Her sublime timing and grit resulted in 14 boundaries, and she found the perfect partner in captain Harmanpreet Kaur, whose 89 off 88 balls helped the tide turn in India’s favour. The duo stitched an impressive 167-run stand that paved the path for a historic run chase. Eventually, India got there in just 48.3 overs, registering the highest-ever successful run chase in women’s ODI history. No Tickets For Final? A growing chorus of irked fans took to X, where they blamed the cricket board and organisers for allegedly mismanaging tickets. “BCCI is yet to release tickets for the Women’s World Cup Final. Oh wait, maybe they’re already reserved for the rich brats and sponsors. Because when it comes to local fans, the same ones who got ₹100 tickets at the start of the tournament, they’re always the last priority,” voiced one user on X. Several others wondered why the tickets were in “Coming Soon” mode just a day ahead of the much-anticipated final. While others shared that the tickets had already gone live before, it was only the “phase 2” tickets for the India Vs South Africa contest that were yet to go live on BookMyShow. This is quite abysmal. The final is tomorrow. @BCCIWomen @BCCI @cricketworldcup @bookmyshow pic.twitter.com/6aIa9UyxR3 — Lavanya ?️???‍? (@lav_narayanan) November 1, 2025 To clarify the hoopla surrounding tickets, a cricket fan went ahead and tagged BookMyShow, the ticket seller for the World Cup, to give an update on tickets for the final clash scheduled on November 2 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. “can you please convey the fans about when and at what time you are going to start the ticket sales for the upcoming women’s World Cup final, (sic)” wrote the X user. The portal replied to the query with a “stay tuned” message. “Hello there, we absolutely love your excitement & are just as thrilled to see you at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025! Kindly stay tuned to our socials, the App &/ or the website, since the details about the same shall reflect in real-time as soon as the bookings go live!” Rs 1.7 Lakh Ticket? Frustrated by the endless wait for tickets, many turned to secondary marketplaces in hopes of securing some, only to be humbled by the atrocious listings. A tournament that was earlier praised for pricing league game tickets for as low as Rs 100 was now seeing tickets being allegedly resold for as high as Rs 1.7 lakh. Yesterday the tickets for the Women’s World Cup final at DY Patil Stadium were being sold at a cost of ₹150-₹500. Now look at this, what a shameless exploitation. Don’t call it demand, it is daylight robbery. pic.twitter.com/bIV5KRWMLk — Sameer Allana (@HitmanCricket) October 31, 2025 Also Read: This Website Is Selling Travis Scott Tickets For Rs 2000 And Everyone Is Baffled Women’s matches tickets used to sell for ₹170 now when they have reached finals of ODI World Cup the prices have skyrocketed ? pic.twitter.com/c5lhgY03Uu — Astronaut ? 🥵 (@TheRobustRascal) October 31, 2025 News18.com couldn’t independently verify the above claim of a Rs 1.7 lakh ticket, but a glance at Viagogo, a scalping platform, confirmed that the tickets were still absurdly priced.
