Abhinav Kashyap has gone guns blazing after Salman Khan’s family. The Dabangg director has levelled fresh allegations against Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and even Salim Khan. In a now-viral clip, he called Arbaaz Khan a good-for-nothing thief and an idiot. He accused the Khan family of stealing Dabangg’s credit from him.
In a clip from the Bollywood Thikana interview, Abhinav said, “Arbaaz nikamma hai, voh gadha hai, chor hai. Usko kuch nahi aata.” The clip then jump cuts to him saying, “Mera credit bhi khaoge, mera haq maar ke log baithe hue hain. Yeh kabza hai. Issi liye main bolta hoon yeh jihaadi maansikta ke log hain.”

He added, “Abhi kisi ne poocha nahi, Salim Khan aagaye safai dene ki humari family ne kabhi beef nahi khaaya. Arre tere se kisi ne poocha?” He mentioned, “Being Human main charity ke naam pe… har cheez, everything is done for effect.”
In the same interview, Kashyap mentioned that he first approached Arbaaz Khan, who was interested in playing the lead role himself, but later offered to produce the film. Recalling how he reacted when he was told that Salman Khan would be the lead in the movie, Abhinav shared, “Salman’s image at the time was that of a chhichhora, someone who would harass women on the streets. This was around 2008, when I’d signed the film. He’d done Tere Naam then. He had a very unflattering image, that of a crazed lover or a roadside Romeo. He also had that towel dance.”
Abhinav, who is also filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s brother, further called Salman Khan a ‘criminal’ and went on to say that his family is ‘not normal’. “My opinion on Salman Khan and his family stands. They are not normal human beings. They are proven criminals. He’s out on bail. He’s a convicted criminal, out on bail. A criminal is a criminal. There are things that even I know,” he said.
Interestingly, this comes days after Anurag Kashyap’s brother also made some other serious comments against Salman Khan and told SCREEN, “Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda (goon).” Kashyap did not stop here. He went on to allege that Khan is “ill-mannered” and “vindictive”.
