Once again, Italian footwear and accessories label Aquazzura has teamed up with Spanish model and entrepreneur Alex Rivière-Sieber on a capsule collection for Resort 2026. The second partnership between the duo sees a line of six shoe styles and two clutches that are punctuated with an golden Art Deco-inspired clasp, along with jewelry pieces that echo that look.

“Our collaboration unfolded so effortlessly that continuing felt only natural. This time, however, it became even more personal — an intimate reflection of Alex herself. Her impeccable vision and refined taste shine through every piece,” says founder Edgardo Osorio.

As for the color palette, it’s the home of the classics, think black, safari green, and dark gold in materials such as satin, leather, suede, and croc-embossed textures. Central to the approach is refined versatility, with pieces designed for a chic mix-and-match ethos that builds on a timeless wardrobe.

Felicity Carter: This is your second capsule with Aquazzura, how did the process the second time round?

Alex Rivière-Sieber: This being our second collection together, and after many years of knowing one another, we have cultivated a genuine understanding of each other’s vision and aesthetic approach. Edgardo naturally leans toward color and playfulness, while i remain more of a purist with a strong affinity for black. Yet, what unites us is a shared commitment to beauty and design. Our conversations are always open and constructive, which allows our perspectives to merge in a truly balanced way.

The creative process often begins with a fundamental question: what do women truly need in their modern lives, and how can we design pieces that bring both beauty and functionality into that space? Our mutual appreciation for the naked silhouette, bold accents, and strong character has shaped the dna of this capsule. The collection also pays homage to one of my favorite designs by edgardo—the iconic so nude sandal—which we felt compelled to reinterpret through our own vision. My contribution typically starts with sharing my favorite shoes, inspirations, and materials. From there, with edgardo’s expertise and the skill of his team, we structure a collection that is coherent and relevant. He translates these ideas into sketches, and what follows is a constant, dynamic exchange—an ongoing dialogue dedicated to turning a shared vision into reality.

Felicity Carter: You said this collection reflects all the different versions of yourself, how have you translated those versions into the pieces?

ARS: I would describe this collection as a celebration of timeless elegance, reinterpreted with a modern and functional sensibility. The inspiration is drawn from my own lifestyle, as well as from the women i admire—dynamic, independent, and sophisticated, women who refuse to compromise between style and comfort. Our intention was to create pieces that feel indispensable, designs one can return to season after season, each time discovering their quiet strength. Subtle yet distinctive details elevate every look, while versatility and quality remain at the heart of each creation. Ultimately, this collection is an ode to the modern woman who embraces understated beauty with confidence and ease.

Felicity Carter: Which is your go-to piece and why?

ARS: It’s very difficult to choose, but probably the boots. They remind me of my mother and her show jumping times. I always though riding boots look incredibly elegant and give a very flattering figure. I believe their transition from sport to ready-to-wear is only natural.

Felicity Carter What’s it like to work with your pal Edgardo Osorio again?

ARS: One of the reasons i value our friendship is because it is both stimulating and inspiring. Over the years, i have learned much from edgardo. From the very beginning, his talent and creativity have been a source of inspiration. He has an exceptional eye for detail and proportion, and working alongside him has reminded me how even the smallest adjustment can completely transform the way a piece feels. His commitment to precision and his passion for design continue to make our collaborations both enriching and rewarding.

Felicity Carter: Finally, timelessness is key to the collection and your style, what does that word mean to you?

ARS: A garment, an item or even a character that preserves their essence and character, and still remains relevant in time.
