AP TET 2025 Notification: The Department of School Education Andhra Pradesh, has commenced the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) application for the October 2025 exams. As per the official notification, interested candidates have time till November 23 to apply for the teacher eligibility test. The teacher eligibility examination is set to be held on December 10 online across all districts. The fee is Rs 1,000 per paper. Interested candidates can apply online for AP TET 2025 through the official website – cse.ap.gov.in. Candidates can download the information bulletin from the same portal. As per the official schedule, the AP TET 2025 hall tickets will be available from December 3, 2025, while the initial key will be released on January 2, 2026, followed by the final results on January 19, 2026. AP TET will be conducted for Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B, catering to candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 in general and special schools. Each paper carries 150 marks, and the minimum qualifying marks vary by category – 60 per cent for OC/EWS, 50 per cent for BC, and 40 per cent for SC/ST/PwBD and ex-servicemen. To be eligible for the exam, applicants should possess Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd), Bachelor of Education (BEd), or equivalent qualifications. Those pursuing the final semester of these courses can also appear for the exam. Teachers employed in private schools whose appointments have not been approved by the competent authority will not be exempt from the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Those working in private unaided schools must appear for the TET conducted by either the State Government or the Central Government. However, non-approved teachers in private aided schools are required to appear only for the TET conducted by the State Government. The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) qualification is a mandatory requirement for teacher appointments in government, aided, and private schools across the state. In line with NCTE guidelines, the TET certificate will now remain valid for a lifetime. Additionally, the APTET score will account for 20 per cent weightage in upcoming Teacher Recruitment Tests (TRT) conducted by the state government.
