Emmerdale’s April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has had enough of the drug life and wants out.
Problem is, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) has absolutely no intention of letting her go, so she’s getting desperate and is ready to take some risks.
She’s had several unsuccessful drug drops so far, all made in an effort to protect Dylan (Fred Kettle), but the last saw her lose an entire stash worth thousands. This did not make Ray happy, and now she and Dylan are tied to him until they pay back the money they lost.
Ray is playing a strong game here; the pair have no true idea of how much they owe as Ray has plucked an unfathomable number out of thin air to ensure the teenagers remain under his power.
April is the plucky sort though and is determined to do extricate herself from the drug lord, doing what she must to pay him back and be free of him as fast as she can.

Ray manipulates the likes of April and Dylan into dealing drugs for him (Picture: ITV)
Dylan is shocked to find that her latest idea is to sell to university students and finds her touting for business outside the halls of residence to earn enough to pay off a chunk of debt.
Frighted for how deep April is getting in, he pleads with Ray to let her go. Ray turns the emotional screws and manipulates Dylan into agreeing to his way, while promising to speak to the ‘big bosses’ to try and get them off.
April is finding it hard to juggle the drug life with real life. Rhona (Zoe Henry) innocently asks her to be a big sister and look after Leo for a while, but April’s focus is split when Ray demands she do a job for him. She’s desperate to earn as much as quickly as she can and can’t turn the job down. Not that she has any choice.

She weighs it up and decides Leo will be fine for a few hours and rushes off. As she does so, she drops a packet of pills.
On her return she’s faced with her worst nightmare, Leo being put in an ambulance having found the pills. Enough is enough for a petrified April, who hurriedly tells Dylan she wants to come clean and get out of the game for good. She’s ready to stand up to Ray too.
What she doesn’t realise is that Ray has overheard every word. He’s desperate to protect his empire, and April is merely a disposable pawn.
Armed with the information she intends to confess, he decides to get there first. What will he do to shut her up?
