Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has called for applications for Little KITEs Awards to recognise outstanding performance by Little KITEs units established in schools across the State in the 2025-26 academic year. Best-performing schools at the State level will receive cash awards and certificates of merit. The school that bags the first position will receive ₹2.5 lakh, that in second position ₹2 lakh, and the school in third position ₹1.5 lakh. Special awards will be given to exceptional units at the district and sub-district levels to further encourage excellence. Schools securing the first, second, and third positions at the district level will be awarded ₹40,000, ₹30,000, and ₹20,000, respectively, along with a certificate of merit. An award for best-performing school at the sub-district level will also be introduced this year. The selection of the best Little KITEs unit will be based on evaluation of units’ daily activities, original initiatives and social engagement, documentation of school activities, SchoolWiki updates, participation in camps, preparation of school-level digital magazine, expansion of VICTERS channel reach and news production for it, individual performance of members, maintenance of high-tech classrooms, and the unit’s involvement in other school-level programmes. The deadline for submitting applications is January 10.
