Antiques Roadshow fans were left seriously distracted by a bizarre background extra in Sunday night’s episode.
The recent installment of the hit BBC show took experts to Shuttleworth House in Bedfordshire.
Highlights included glittering diamond earrings, a lunar souvenir and an umbrella stand in the shape of a bear.
But the star of the show was a peculiar background watcher, looking keenly on while expert Alistair Chandler examined a beautiful vintage clock.
As Alistair gave details about the item, fans could not help but laugh at a woman wearing a ridiculously sized hat.
Distracting viewers from the on-screen valuation, the woman stood poised directly in front of the camera.

Watchers took to social media to swap notes on the hilarious appearance.
One wrote: ‘I’m not sure who wants to be the star of the show – the clock or the lady in the hat.’
Another echoed the sentiment, writing: ‘Young lady sporting her everyday, popping-down-to-Aldi headwear on tonight’s show.’
‘Weird serious woman in large hat,’ joked one, while another chimed in: ‘That shocking hat has featured several times. The poor cameraman can’t get it out of shot.’
‘An umbrellhat!’ wrote one, while someone summed it up simply: ‘Daft.’
It comes as An Antiques Roadshow guest was left gasping ‘I had no idea!’ after discovering that a broken statue he bought for just £5 in a ‘junk shop’ was actually worth a four-figure sum.
The latest episode saw the BBC experts set up at Stephens House & Gardens in north London, where Lee Young was presented with an lohan – a Buddhist guardian figure.
Explaining how he came to own the statue, the guest recalled: ‘Back in the mid 70s, I was walking down the high street in Surbiton and came across this junk shop, stroke antiques shop, and I just liked it.’

Lee praised the man’s eye, saying that if you like an object, ‘it doesn’t matter how much you pay for it or its value’.
He went on to assess the piece, telling him: ‘I think it’s late 18th, or even possibly 19th century.

‘If you pick him up, he does have that soapy, softness of the stone – a lot of happy hands have held that over the years.
But actually, it’s done it a great service because it’s put so much colour into the stone.
‘He’s a lohan and the lohans were the guardians of the Shakyamuni Buddha and they went through the four stages of enlightenment, so I feel much more enlightened with him sitting there with me today.’
Turning the piece around, Lee pointed out a missing detail.
‘You can see on the back here that he was clearly reaching for something and it was probably a back scratcher,’ he said.
Despite admiring how the figure sits ‘really nicely’ on its wave-finished base and how ‘beautifully carved’ it was, the expert revealed the statue had suffered significant damage.

Not only was part of its arm missing, but the head had once been chopped off.
Lee said: ‘Even with the condition he’s in, I think that would make £1,000 to £1,500 at auction.’
‘Wow,’ the guest exclaimed. ‘I had no idea, that’s amazing.’
Lee added that if the statue had not been damaged, it could have fetched much more.
‘You should have a word with your nephew,’ he joked, before explaining it would have been worth £2,000 to £3,000 with its head intact. ‘If you can find the rest of the arm I reckon he’d be worth £3,000 to £4,000.’
