Obituaries AQUILINA. On September 17, at his home in Attard, CHARLES, (former technician ex-Cable & Wireless), widower of Tessie, passed away at the age of 93, surrounded by his family. He will always be loved and remembered by his children and their spouses Elizabeth and Joe Vella, Carmen, Raymond and Joan, Marlene and John Bonello, Georgette and Joey Taliana, Natalie and Nenu Sultana, Miriam and Brian Camilleri, Jacqueline and Lawrence Sapiano, Robert and Vanessa; his 20 grandchildren, Roslynn, Johann, Kenneth, Daniel, Chistianne, Michael, Owen, Graziella, Karlos, Luca, Cynthia, Denise, Matthew, Sarah, James, David, Mark, Thomas, Giulia and Beppe and their respective spouses and partners; his 14 great-grandchildren Kylie, Adele, Luigi, Roberto, Matteo, Khloe, Gianni, Julian, Daisy Fay, Ivy, Blake, Juliana, Ezra and Stella; his siblings Freddie, Maria, Lucia, Ġużi, Frans, Doris, Leli and their respective families, numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of his soulful life will be held at Balzan parish church on Monday, September 22, at 2pm. No flowers by request, but the family would appreciate that donations in memory of Charles to be directed to Hospice Malta, Santa Venera. Lord, grant him eternal rest. All the family would like to thank his nephew’s wife, Martina, for the compassionate care given to Charles, together with the support of the professionals at Hospice Malta. WICKS. On September 18, DAVID JOHN, aged 74, passed away peacefully and comforted by the rites of Holy Church surrounded by his loving family. He will always be loved and cherished by his beloved wife Theresa, his sons Dean and Emily, Daniel and Tati, Richard, David and Sophie, Theresa’s children Chris and Rosanne, Ella and Michael, all of his grandchildren Lola, Dylan, Betsy, Mariana, Tommy, Faye, Michael, James, Sophia, Isla and Finlay, his siblings Kevin and Tina, Sue and Steve, Paul and Claire, other relatives and his numerous friends from all over the world. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, September 22 at 9am for Balluta parish church where Mass to celebrate his life will be said at 9.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Siġġiewi cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta are greatly appreciated. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff at Mater Dei Hospital and SAMOC. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
