EXCLUSIVE: Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) and Cooper Raiff (Cha Cha Real Smooth) have wrapped on the Toronto shoot for All That She Wants, a new romantic comedy from Ley Line Entertainment (Everything Everywhere All At Once). Directed by Andrew Rhymer (Plus One) and Scarlett Bermingham, the indie follows Emma (Murphy), who in the wake of a nasty breakup, hooks up with the charming, younger Luke (Raiff), only to realize that she used to be his babysitter. But what starts as an embarrassing one-night stand soon turns into something much more unexpected. Others in the cast include Zosia Mamet (Girls), John Gemberling (The Afterparty), Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story), Bill Irwin (Legion), and Christine Baranski (The Gilded Age). Written by David West Read, a collaborator of Murphy’s on Schitt’s Creek, the film is produced by Tim Headington (Ley Line), Theresa Steele Page (Ley Line), Lindsay Tapscott (Babe Nation Films), Katie Bird Nolan (Babe Nation Films), and Lauren Shelton (Ley Line). Murphy, Read, and David Darby served as executive producers. The project marks the re-teaming of Read and Ley Line Entertainment following their work on the Tony Award-nominated musical & Juliet. Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award-nominated for her performance as Alexis Rose in the breakout Canadian comedy Schitt’s Creek, Murphy has most recently been seen starring alongside Nicole Kidman in the second season of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers. She is represented by Mosaic and CAA. A multi-hyphenate known for helming and starring in projects like Cha Cha Real Smooth, Shithouse, and Hal & Harper, an independently produced TV series snapped up by Mubi following its Sundance premiere, Raiff will be seen coming up in Jay Duplass’ indie See You When I See You, another project on which we were first to report. He is repped by Fusion Entertainment, Black Bear, and UTA. Rhymer made his feature directorial debut with the Tribeca-premiering rom-com Plus One, starring Jack Quaid and Maya Erskine, in which his co-director Bermingham appears. He is repped by Iconoclast, Verve, and Jackoway Austen; Bermingham by Brillstein, Verve, and Jackoway Austen. Ley Line Entertainment’s recent highlights include the Daniels’ Academy Award winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, David Lowery’s The Green Knight, Death of a Unicorn starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, and Nathan Silver’s Between The Temples. The company was formed by Tim Headington and Theresa Steele Page in the spring of 2018. Mamet is repped by Sugar23, UTA, and Weintraub Tobin; Gemberling by Artists First and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis; Wittrock by Mosaic, Weissenbach Management, CAA, and Schreck Rose Dapello; Baranski by Viking Entertainment and UTA; Irwin by Viking Entertainment and Innovative Artists; and Read by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham.
