Days of Our Lives fans have been speculating for months about a possible connection between Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) following a brief scene in a recent episode. In a recent interview with The TV Water Cooler, McCord addresses the potential storyline. On the June 5th episode of Days of Our Lives, Cat notices a photo of Sami at Marlena’s apartment, sparking fan speculation about a possible connection between the two characters. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) quickly commented on the moment, with one writing, “Wait, Cat knows Sami?!!!” In an interview with The TV Water Cooler, earlier this week, McCord was asked directly about the possible connection between Cat and Sami. McCord told The TV Water Cooler, “The aspect of the recognition of Sami that you picked up on and maybe not everyone got the importance of that moment – I will tell you that it is an extremely important moment and it will have a callback. Pay attention!” She teased the potential impact it will have on her storyline, sharing, “It plays a role in what could come between a potential Cat and Chad (Billy Flynn) moment. I think I can tease that! Sami will be joined by other returning characters for the show’s 60th anniversary, including her twin-brother Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and her son Will Horton (Chandler Massey).
