In the wake of the recent accidents and death of tourists at Anjuveedu waterfalls near Pethuparai in Kodaikanal in Dindigul district, the place has been declared a restricted area. In a statement, Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan said an order was issued in this regard and the waterfalls in forest areas have been declared as restricted areas. Strict action will be taken by authorities against those people who attempt to visit the restricted areas and guides who attempt to take the tourists to these spots. The vehicles used to travel to these places will be seized by authorities, the statement said.
