Angarika Township Plot Owners Welfare Association in Karimnagar vow to agitate for essential amenities

Speakers at a dharna organised by the Angarika Township Plot Owners Welfare Association in Karimnagar on Friday alleged that the previous government grossly ignored its assurance given to the plot owners to provide basic amenities in the township of the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Limited.

Addressing the dharna, the plot owners pointed out that the sale of around 819 plots in the Angarika township through open auction in 2022 fetched the government a whopping revenue of ₹147 crore. The township remained devoid of any development till date due to government apathy, they alleged.

They appealed to the persons at the helm in the ruling dispensation to intervene and ensure essential amenities like internal roads, drinking waters and other facilities to enable the plot owners to construct houses in the township. They vowed to launch a phase-wise agitation if the government fails to provide the essential amenities in the township.
