Andy Cohen Is Being Praised For His "Great" Response To A Question About His Yearly Income "Ya know what, I was ready to hate, but I appreciate his response." You don't have to know Andy Cohen well to tell that the man makes money. Not only does he host Watch What Happens Live, he's also created and executive-produced some of your favorite shows, including Real Housewives, Top Chef, Project Runway, and Queer Eye. His net worth is reportedly $50 million. On a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Andy was asked to share how much money he'd made in the last year, specifically — or send an uncomfortable text to someone in his contact list. "Oh my God," he said, laughing nervously. "I have to text someone!" "I thought you weren't gonna answer that," host Alex Cooper said, to which Andy replied, "Are you fucking kidding me? There's no way I'm answering that." When asked why not, he replied, "Because I feel like it's douche-y and I feel like frankly, I'm in a position in my life where I'm making money that is totally — there's a incredible wage inequity with people that I work with and also, people who do jobs that are way more important than mine." Naming professions like special ed teachers and home hospice aids, Andy called the wage gap unfair and "ridiculous." Listeners found his comments so "real" and "considerate" and praised Andy in the comments. "Great answer," one comment read, as another called it the "perfect" response. "I love his answer!!" a third person said. "He is so in touch w the world," someone wrote. Another person admitted they were "floored" by how "informed his response was." "Ya know what, I was ready to hate, but I appreciate his response," someone shared. "At least he can read the room lol," another added. People especially loved his acknowledgment of service workers. "The fact that he said special education teacher first about wage inequality is one of the reasons why I just feel deeply in love with him," one person wrote. Another said, "Thank you from a special ed teacher." "This is how every celebrity should respond btw," one more added. Of course, the comments weren't all positive. Some called on Andy to address the wage inequity in his own workplace. "Andy, you can change that wage inequity," one person said. "You are the boss. How much do those WWHL interns make!" Another asked, "Isn't he the Bose. Couldn't he pay himself less and have profit sharing for the employees." "It was be far more impressive if he said how much he made," one more added. Some also thought the question itself was hugely inappropriate. "You should never ask anyone that question," one viewer stated, as others called it "wrong" and intrusive. "The fact that she feels comfortable enough to ask this question is wild to me," one more shared.
