Andhra Pradesh is the best bet for investors, says Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh has the best ecosystem with industry-friendly policies, and Visakhapatnam is the right place for industrial growth in the State, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said.

Addressing the valedictory of the Global Capability Centre (GCC) Business Summit, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Visakhapatnam on September 17, 2025 (Wednesday), Mr. Naidu said GCCs hold a promising future, and the State government was ready to extend cooperation for industrial growth with real-time decision making.

“Andhra Pradesh is gifted with good air, road and rail connectivity. A greenfield airport will be developed in Amaravati, in addition to the existing airports in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Kadapa,” he said, and added that metro train would also be coming in the future.

Referring to the bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Mr. Naidu said, “A bullet train will also be coming to Andhra Pradesh once a project connecting Hyderabad, Amaravati, Bengaluru, and Chennai is executed.”

Quantum Valley

The Chief Minister said the government was focusing on developing Quantum Valley, Artificial Intelligence and Data Lake projects. “At the same time, focus is also on developing green energy and hydrogen,” he said.

“The Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs (RTIH) have been set up at five centres in the State. With a best combination of policy-makers, industry and academics, best ecosystem prevails in the State for establishment of industries,” he asserted.

Google data centre

Mr. Naidu said Andhra Pradesh had the advantage of a vast sea coast to tap the potential of port-led economy. He said a Google data centre would come up in Visakhapatnam and an announcement on it was likely next month. On the Ease-of-Doing Business and Speed-of- Doing Business, he said, at present 720 government services were being provided through WhatsApp governance.

“India is going to emerge as the third largest economy in the world soon under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said, and lauded the reforms ushered in by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Ms. Sitharaman, CII Past President R. Dinesh, CII Task Force Chairman Gunjan Samtani, CII Co-Chairman Romal Shetty, and Director-General of CII Chandrajit Banerjee were present.
